Elisabeth Wagner has created and performed in three musical plays for Victoria audiences, most recently The Passionate Muse: The Life and Music of Pauline Viardot-Garcia. Her website Bell’Arte Music Drama tells about each play.
Elisabeth grew up in Regina where she attained her ARCT in Piano Performance, studying with Gordon MacLean, and where she performed the Beethoven Choral Fantasy with the Regina Symphony Orchestra. Elisabeth also spent two summers at the Shawnigan Lake School of the Arts working on solo repertoire and chamber music.
As a student and young adult, Elisabeth often collaborated with singers and instrumentalists, and played double bass in the Regina Symphony Orchestra. In recent years, she has concentrated on her vocal studies, as well as the writing and production of musical plays.
Elisabeth is really looking forward to participating in the Winterreise Project collaboration with singers, this time at the piano.
