Mezzo-soprano Hannah Mitchell is originally from Berkeley, California. She earned a B.A. in Music at the University of California at Berkeley, and a Master’s in Vocal Performance at the University of Oregon.
Hannah has performed principal roles in several productions with the Victoria Gilbert and Sullivan Society, including Iolanthe, Lady Angela, Ruth, and Tessa. Roles performed elsewhere include La Ciesca (Gianni Schicchi) Mrs. Gobineau (The Medium), Miss Benson (Of Thee I Sing), Serpina (La Serva Padrona), and Lulu in her own production of Lukas Foss’ one-act opera, “The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”.
Hannah has sung with the Pacific Opera Victoria chorus and Voces Intimae, and is an alumna of Hexaphone, an eclectic classical vocal sextet.
